That middle size is the useful one. It is small enough for a Yorkshire Terrier or a Cavalier to pick up and big enough that a Collie or a Retriever does not lose it in one mouthful.

Yes. The squeaker sits inside the body, so it goes off when your dog bites down on the widest part and stays quiet while the toy is only being carried.
